The North course plays 200-300 yards shorter than the South and is generally a bit more forgiving (i.e. easier). There are a few forced carries around the course, but fortunately most of those are on shorter par-4's and par-5's. Overall, we like Angel's Trace and particularly like the lack of housing or hotels immediately adjacent to the courses. Angel's Trace is in Sunset Beach, North Carolina, obviously toward the northern end of the Myrtle Beach region. Plenty of places to stay in Sunset Beach and North Myrtle Beach.
