All three nines are reminiscent of those early days of golf with the "Meadows", "Highlands" & "Woodlands" nines. Tucked among towering hardwoods and the beautiful Waccamaw River, this course features extensive mounding, wide landing areas, & bent grass greens. Each of the 3 nines at Aberdeen offers a mix of openness and tree-lined holes.
You may have guessed that the name "Aberdeen" is an attempt to convey a Scottish feel to the place. We're not exactly convinced of the connection (it's very difficult to re-create a true Scottish links-style course on a piece of land such as this), but we do agree that Aberdeen Country Club offers an enjoyable day of golf.
The course is located in Longs, SC which is on the north end of the Myrtle Beach area. For convenient access to the course, we suggest hotels in North Myrtle Beach. |
